Even God is not safe in Nepal (xnepali.net) 28 statues of Hindu God and goddesses were stolen from a temple, Chanda Nath Temple in the Jumla District Headquarter, Khalanga.

Chanda Nath Temple is the biggest and most popular temple in Western Nepal. (November 2016 incident)

It is very surprising how they could steal the heavy statues from the temple located right next to the District Chief’s office. Among the 28 statues, one of them, a Dattatraya idol, was 30 Kg heavy – made with gold and sliver. The thief had selected the priceless statues and left the ones of lower value.

While the public is protesting, the police is investigating the incident.
